Arnim is a Ramón y Cajal senior research fellow at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB), Spain, and Adjunct Professor at the College of Humanities and Development Studies, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China. He is a political ecologist with an interdisciplinary background, whose research focuses on global agrarian and environmental change, environmental conflicts, and ecological economics. Arnim is Associate Editor of the journal World Development and part of the Direction and Coordination Group of the Global Environmental Justice Atlas (EJAtlas).
